March 20, 2010  Rio Lindo Garden Club of Port St. Lucie - Tour of Private Gardens
The Rio Lindo Garden Club of Port St. Lucie is presenting a spectacular tour of nine (9) private gardens located throughout the Port St. Lucie area.
Pass 'Through the Garden Gate' and step into the first day of Spring on Saturday, March 20th!

Tickets may be purchased in advance for $13.00
Tickets purchased day of the event will be $15.00

March 23, 2010  Boynton Beach Garden Club  - Tour of the Sugar Cane Fields

The Boynton Beach Garden Club invites you to get up close and personal for an informative and exciting historical and agricultural tour of a sugar cane farm and a visit to the Clewiston Sugar Mill on Tuesday, March 23, 2010. Also included will be a stop at a sugar refinerary; citris juice plant; and a tour of the Clewiston Museum. Lunch at the Clewiston Inn is included.
        Cost is $60 for BBGC members, and $65 for non-members.                 Registration/Payment deadline is March 12, 2010.

March 27-28, 2010  Garden Club of Stewart - 2010 Secret Gardens Tour and Expo
The Garden Club of Stuart Inc. presents their 2010 Secret Gardens and Tour Expo March 27-28 with a self-guided tour of 7 of Martin County's finest private gardens. Tickets for the Tour are $25.00 and will be on sale in January 2010.
In addition there will be a spectacular Garden Expo with over 30 Vendors from all over the state.  The Expo is FREE and open to the public!

 The Garden Club of Ft. Pierce is excited about hosting the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs – District X Spring Meeting at the Pelican Yacht Club on April 29, 2010. It is  is an excellent opportunity to highlight the quaint and historic city of Ft. Pierce.  http://www.cityoffortpierce.com/

Optional Tour 3pm-5pm: HEATHCOTE BOTANICICAL GARDENS
On that same day, Heathcote Botanical Gardens is extending a 'special invitation' to all attending garden club members to visit the gardens between 3pm and 5 pm with no charge for admission.  This is a perfect time of year for garden club members to enjoy this beautiful property.

As an added bonus, Ms. Ginny Stibolt, author of 'Sustainable Gardening for Florida', will be on hand for a book signing and to conduct garden tours discussing this subject.  Ginny earned an MS degree in Botany from the University of Maryland . She calls herself a 'transplanted gardener' having come to Florida in 2004 and has written numerous articles over the years on a wide range of gardening topics. Her book was released in September 2009 and 50% of the royalties from book sales will be paid directly to the Florida Chapter of The Nature Conservancy.  Mark your calendar and tell your garden friends…the Ft. Pierce Garden Club and Heathcote Botanical Gardens await the pleasure of  your company!
